August 10, 2004Nice day for a protestWell, no. We've had thunderstorms all morning. But it's starting to clear; maybe we'll even get a spot of sun. The protest is the rally for CHOI on Parliament this afternoon. Jay Jardine has the Hill-cam on his site, so you can check out how many people turn up, even if you're not located near Sucking Central. I'll be there. Not only do I get an opportunity to oppose the evil culture tyrants, I can be toddler-free for a few hours, get a haircut, eat some sort of beef-cheese-bread food combo, and try to resist buying Doom III (which is apparently pretty good, who'd have thought?). A hurricane couldn't keep me away. Posted by Bruce Gottfred at August 10, 2004 12:17 PM | TrackBackComments
Too bad about the weather, but it looks like a decent crowd is materializing in spite of it. Quite symbolic, really. Posted by: Jay Jardine at August 10, 2004 03:34 PMI skipped out of the project I'm working on and was there for a couple of hours. If you trace where this post came from you can figure out who I skipping out on :-) I'll write up my observations later. Posted by: Trudeaupia at August 10, 2004 04:40 PMThat sounds like far too much trouble, though the taxpayers really ought to know... A good turnout today. I wonder if it'll have any effect. Posted by: Bruce Gottfred at August 10, 2004 06:14 PMNo taxpayer money wasted, I assure you. I work for private company but we have a fixed-price project going on there.
