November 04, 2004Says it allHere's an interesting statement from member of the sophisticated, progressive eastern media, Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker (who has another great tolerance-soaked quote in the previously mentioned Coyne piece). He was asked about Bush's agenda for the next four years: In my view, he's got his mandate and he's going to carry on with his mantra--bringing democracy to the middle east. Pretty scary.(Via Best of the Web Today.) Posted by Bruce Gottfred at November 4, 2004 06:25 PM | TrackBack Comments
I couldn't find an email address for you. So I just wanted to post this URL in hopes of getting your reaction. I respect your opinion. Apparently lots of Americans want to be Canadian now. It's being reported all over news radio here in America. http://www.reuters.co.uk/printerFriendlyPopup.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=616225 Posted by: Michael at November 6, 2004 01:46 PMI saw that story on Drudge. I guess I don't really think too much of it. If someone is so wacky that they want to flee their country because of paranoia about Bush, there's something wrong with them. The Boston Globe has a good article on the pitfalls of moving to the People's Republic of Trudeaupia. Posted by: Bruce Gottfred at November 6, 2004 03:04 PMPost a comment
